Goat media frenzy in DC
Goats made the front page of the weekend section of the Washington Post today. Goats officially have made it big! Most of my friends and many of my clients know I photographed goats while a I transitioned from being a sports photographer in 2001 to a commercial photographer. My postcards of these silly woodland creatures won hearts back then and they brought out the national, local and international media and myself yesterday at Congressional Cemetery.
The historic cemetery hired the “browsing green goats” to clear out the poison ivy and invasive plants that strangle trees, which can fall on the grounds and damage valuable historic headstones. The 30 rescued dairy goats will graze 24 hours a day for two weeks and will be available for viewing during visiting hours and special events.
